Pepsi V Coke

Tiffany: Pepsi is superior to Coca-Cola for a plethora of reasons my opponent is blind to. Pepsi tastes sweeter than Coke. When the cool liquid glides over your anxiously awaiting tastebuds, the sugary taste fills the drinker with instant joy and gratitude for life. Coca-Cola’s taste, on the other hand, is as bitter as the hearts of its creators. Additionally, Coca-Cola’s history is much more unethical than Pepsi’s past. They used to add addictive, now illegal, drugs to early forms of their product. Children were becoming addicted to cocaine at an extremely young age because of their marketing ploy.

Danny: Although my opponent may have tried to explain why Pepsi is the better product, she is horribly mistaken. Coke is clearly the superior product in every way to Pepsi. Coca-Cola allows you to “open happiness” with every bottle. Pepsi, however, gives almost no satisfaction. Coke allows those who consume it to taste the glory of one of the best sodas in the history of man. The first sip of coke that enters your mouth is always the best, while Pepsi just seems colorless in comparison.

Tiffany: Pepsi is unashamed of its history. They company has a basic timeline of their past linked on the front page of their website, unlike Coke whose founder was a morphine addict. Coca-Cola actually tried to emulate Pepsi in the 1980s. They were losing a large portion of their customers to the finer soda brand, so they changed their recipe to mirror the breathtaking flavor of Pepsi. Naturally, Coke ultimately failed at their marketing attempt since they could not accomplish what Pepsi achieves on an everyday basis.

Danny: Not to mention, “Pepsi Perfect” from “Back to the Future 2” has been created, but has almost no marketing, and how many people actually bought it? Pepsi has dropped the ball on that one, so what can you expect from a company like that, other than a mediocre at best soda?

Tiffany:  Not only is this dishonorable, but they practically recognize their inferiority. If they truly were the better soda, they would not need to use cocaine in their soda. The buyers would come flocking to the grocery stores to buy their product. Instead, they had to drug their customers to compensate for the ghastly flavor. As the classic television show Saturday Night Live eloquently phrased it, “No Coke, Pepsi.”
