They came. They sang. They flirted. This British boy band took America by the britches. Oops, I suppose I’ve let these “‘little things slip out of my mouth.”
With the release of their sophomore album,”Take Me Home”, One Direction has once again made girls around the world swoon at their lyrics.Directioners worldwide have been waiting for this day,Nov.13, to buy their album. “Take Me Home: Yearbook Edition” is number one on iTunes and the regular CD is number two. Along with their album, their single “Live While We’re Young” makes Billboards top 200 singles.
The second album was released eight months after their first album “Up All Night”. The boys released their top hit, “Live While We’re Young”, that has been an even bigger success than “What Makes You Beautiful” from their previous album.
Even though the lads are still under 21, their album has grown beyond their years. “Take Me Home” features new material in a more mature way. The lyrics show off an older side of the boys that might not have been detected in their first album.
The subtleties are often caught by older generations rather than pre-teen girls. Yet the melodies and musical instruments make up for all of that.
Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomilson, Harry Styles, and Liam Payne all partook in the creative process of writing songs. In their music videos, the boys show off their musical abilities by accompanying their songs with guitar effects.
If and when you listen to the CD, the song order begins in an upbeat tempo and slowly starts to make its way to ballads and softer toned melodies. Although not all the songs may hit a chord in your heart, they still deserve recognition.
As for Directioners, the boys continue to create images of romance and they never fail to make girls feel special.
Although One Direction is a typical boy band their songs and British good looks keep them at the top of the charts and hearts of girls everywhere.
While Directioners patiently wait for the next big thing from the band they will continue to “Rock Me” and girls near and far.
Until then let’s “live while we’re young.”
