Elk Grove, your Knight in shining armor has arrived and has taken her place as the new Associate Principal of Instruction. Megan Knight has arrived this year and is very excited to get into the Elk Grove spirit.

However, she states that for her this is still “a learning period.”

She is very busy day in and day out, attending meetings frequently. In addition to the extra responsibility of being the head of Physical Education, she personally oversaw the Academic Resource Center project to help students succeed in their classes.

In her first pep assembly, Knight remarked on how spirited and enthusiastic the student body was. “I love your guys’ energy. I’ve never seen anything like it.” Knight said.

Knight is very experienced and knows what she’s doing and is glad to be a part of the Elk Grove staff. Knight brings great communication ability, multi-tasking skills and organization into the school. She feels this and her many years of experience at Wheeling have prepared her for this job, in addition to her great support system from home.

Also, let’s not forget that her love for helping children and education will be a huge asset in her journey and help her succeed here at EGHS. Knight believes “education does change lives, so don’t give up on it.” Here at EG, that is also believed to be true.
