Flawless skin, beautiful eyes and just an overall glow. This natural beauty that everyone talks about goes beyond what meets the eye.
Although I am the first one to admit makeup saves my life, but I also know that it isn’t everything. Too much makeup can give the impression that a girl is trying too hard, but not enough means that she doesn’t care.
Throw away any impressions you may have about makeup and/or “natural beauty.” It doesn’t matter what you put on your face. If it makes you feel pretty and powerful by all means go for it. But if wearing nothing makes you feel amazing then don’t.
Don’t let the media, society or your friends dictate what makes you feel good or what doesn’t. Now, there’s a clear line between constructive criticism like, “that color doesn’t really match your skin tone” and being rude saying, “you look especially orange today.”
Physical appearance is a gateway to who you are. It may not be everything, but its a glimpse and that is all people need.
A simple compliment can change a girl’s attitude. When you tell a girl her makeup looks pretty, she will blush and direct her gaze to the ground. She will say “No, it doesn’t. I didn’t even try.” The girl will be modest but on the inside she is full of pure happiness. It’s crazy to believe that one single comment can change a girl’s whole day.
Although I completely believe in self-empowerment, I also think that a little encouragement is amazingly helpful.
Beauty comes from within, but makeup is a tool that helps. This tool allows girls to expand their best features. Accentuate their favorite part about themselves.
Makeup doesn’t have to be caked on it can be used sparingly and still be beautiful. Light makeup is great for any day or activity.
You just have to find the perfect shades that best represent your skin tone and hair color. Experimenting is always a plus. And it’s fun, what more do you need?
Now I know every girl is different but being beautiful is something everyone can achieve. Love yourself and the rest will come easily.
I can’t promise anything but what I can say is once you pick up that brush your life may be a whole lot different.
“When you’re putting on your makeup it’s like you’re an artist but instead of painting a canvas you’re painting your face,” this quote comes from one of my favorite movies,Burlesque, and speaks volumes about the beauty of a woman’s face.
So pick up the brush and make people wonder what your secret is. But always believe that the joke is on them because—there is no secret.
