Nation seeks broader horizons, members

Nation Spirit club is all about “school spirit,” and getting people to support school sports teams, as well as creating a friendly environment that makes students feel more contented.

The club is looking to become more “widespread,” while still maintaining its feeling of connectivity. Sponsor Thomas Walloch, is looking to expand upon the traditional football and basketball focus to other sports and activities, as well. “We are all about getting making students feel more connected. That is a big part of high school, and a big part of what Elk Grove represents.”

Besides the inclusion of raffles, themed events and the ecent emphasis on getting people to away games with the “fan bus,” Walloch wants to create more fun and inclusive activities to add to the already action-packed school year. Another big goal of the club is to get more people to come out to make the club even bigger than it is now. “Anyone that feels strongly about school spirit or is involved should think about joining,” Walloch added.
