On February 27, Math Team went to regionals. Regionals were at Aurora University with a group of 28 students competed in various individual and team events.

“The Algebra 1 team won 1st place and made it to state as a team, and we are still waiting on at-large results to see if anyone else qualified,” said math teacher Persida Bujdei.

At regionals, the freshmen won. “But all in all, the students represented Elk Grove well and showed a lot of dedication, sportsmanship and class. We have a wonderful group that we are very proud of,” said Bujdei.
