The girls bowling team had regionals on February 6. They came in 10th out of 12 teams, but Coach Robert Ray said that “[the team has] improved, so I’m proud.”

Ray said that “all of the girls did great, but we need to work on our consistency. That means more practice.”

The top two girls were sophomore Jamie Kuntsen, with an average of 155 pins and senior Wendy Rosenquist, with an average of 145 pins.

One member of the team that really improved was junior Amy Carpenter.

“She started out in the 80’s and then she was in the 140’s. She picked up 50 pins in two in a half months from practicing a lot,” said Ray. “I always kid around and say she got the “bowling fever” because she would practice on her own, and during her Christmas break she practiced.”
