Harry Potter fanatics’ dreams were realized this year with the release of the first film. Starring (at the time) very young actors Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint (twelve, eleven, and thirteen years old respectively), the movie released to monumental success. Tickets sold out fast, as fans who tried to buy tickets even hours in advance came up empty. Potter fever was in full swing in the early 2000’s, and has barely lessened even now with things like the stage play “The Cursed Child” and the movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” premiering.
