Girls water polo coach Jason Sputjth said his goal for this season is “to increase our win total from last year.”

Last season the team had a total of six wins, and the season before they had two wins. Currently “we have 9 wins, and we are looking at 15 wins as a good target,” Spujth said. Girls water polo are looking towards

sectionals and expect to have a great chance of going deep into the tournament.

On April 25, the girls had a friendly rivalry against Rolling Meadows. This game was a big deal because Rolling Meadows is in the same conference as Elk Grove.

Rolling Meadows “helped us in the past year with fundraisers, and we are hoping to have raise some money in memory of Coach Rod,” Spujth said.
