On Saturday, March 19, Vocal Jazz went over to Saint Charles North High School to meet the famous New York Voices. They worked with all of the choir students and did a performance at the end of the night.

“Our students got to work with them as a clinician, and get their ideas to improve in their own music. It was awesome. Our minds were blown,” said choir teacher Sarah Catt.

Choir still has plenty of upcoming events that they are looking forward to. On April 9, Vocal Jazz went over to Niles North High School to participate in the vocal jazz festival.

“They are sort of in the thick of vocal jazz season, so it’s a busy time of year for those students,” said Catt. Elk Grove’s Choir has been so fortunate to experience all these special opportunities.

Choir is having their Spring concert on May 18 at 7 p.m. in the theatre. “That is our big final concert. That is where we recognize all of our seniors and we expect a packed house,” Catt said.
