Leadership Academy is an attempt to help students “develop their own leadership strategies,” said director Joe Bush. The program involves sophomores and juniors that were recommended by their current or former teachers.

The program is to help students that want to become better leaders at Elk Grove High School. A part of the idea of this program is to have the students invite other students, and those students invite more students, and so forth. The hope of this program is to help other students become leaders so that “everyone can grow into a leader” throughout their time spent at Elk Grove. They even use their skills later on in life according to Joe Bush, the director of this program.

The leaders at Elk Grove High School are: Jorge Arellano, Justin Bald, Jennifer Banak, Noe Centetno, Markos Christoforou, Connor Cloherty, Keely Cronin, Mary Cronin, Pamela Dineva, Milton Garcia, Esmeralda Grimaldo, Bradley Hurt, Jessica Kearns, Monathan Macedo, Megan Manoj, Isabel Michniak, Bianca Pagan, Twinkle Patel, Luke Radtke, Dominic Schiavione, Keiry Soto, Shawn Tipton, Ryan Duffy, Mirelis Morales-Gonzalez, Isaias Chagala, and Marco Cruz-Lopez.
